This is Max's introduction. He's been invited to his best friend's birthday party and it's all he can think about—the cake, balloons, games, presents! Max arrives at the party and things turn bad almost immediately! For ages 3-8.
Max was playing with his toys.
He heard a knock at the door. His mom walked in.
“Guess what, Max? You’re invited to Josh’s birthday party next weekend!” Max was super, duper excited. Josh was his best friend.
It's fun to get super excited.
Max anticipated the birthday party every day. He thought about all the exciting things he'd do, and he knew they would be perfect.
It turns out that life doesn't always go the way we plan.
